The movie explained a lot in a cryptic kind of way, the message was only understandable if you really thought about it and took it into account. I thought that the movie, while it did explain quite a bit, was not realistic. Life is what you make of it and is not always unfair. If life were unfair all the time, it would not be worth living. Stanley, who actually wanted to learn, was not able to learn about life where as Garth, the bully, did not want to learn but was able to. The movie was very serious but i think that it showed the 'worst case senario' and did not accurately show real life.
